About EOHI

A home inspection performed to high quality standards of practice is intended to provide the client with information regarding the condition of the systems and components of the home at the time of the inspection.

With over 30 years of residential and commercial construction experience, we are confident that we will meet your home inspection needs.

Our inspector, David Emley, is a graduate of Carson Dunlop & Associates Ltd. one of the leaders in the home inspection industry.  He is a certified home inspector and we are proud members of InterNACHI, the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.

Why a Certified Home Inspector?

A Certified Home Inspector is educated, trained and tested to assure you that you are recieving the highest quality inspection.

In Hawaii the Home Inspection industry is un-regulated by the government, in the past few years dozens of 'inspectors' have arrived on the scene here in Honolulu.  Many claiming that their previous jobs as Carpenters, Journeymen, Licensed Contractors or Elevtricians, make them better than a certified home inspector.  This may be true of those who recieve certification from 'weekend courses'; however an inspector certified by InterNACHI, is one who can not only point out conditions in a home which 'need to be fixed' but can discern the cause and implications of all a home's systems.

Many states across the states use InterNACHI's standards and certification courses for their state certification.  Additionally InterNACHI's American Society of Home Inspector's ASHI@HOME program is the most prevelant course used in both Community Colleges and other associations across North America.
